I feel like people in horror movies live in an alternate universe where there are no horror movies

That explains a lot

YouTube needs a Freaks and Geeks. We don’t need fancy, big budget, high drama. We need realistic, approachable, hilarious, and occasionally ridiculous.

Rabbit Hutch
Rabbit Cage

Materials list
Plywood
Hinges
Drill with bits
Wood boards (2x4s recommended)
Gloves
Eye goggles
Nails or screws
Ties (metal)
Tape measure
Saw (any type)
Wire cutter
Wires

The size of the cage depends on the size the rabbit will grow to be. A typical cage may be 30” deep, 36” long, and 18” high, but a smaller rabbit or dwarf rabbit would have plenty of room in a 24x24” cage. You should buy your materials based on the size you want the cage to be.

To create the wired cage
Start with the plywood and tape measure. Determine how large the cage will be. Saw to the desired length. Now, slice four more of the 2x4 wood boards. Screw or nail the four to the plywood you just cut.

To build a rabbit hutch, take the wires and put it around the four posts. Set aside a one-inch gap per wire. Use the metal ties to keep them in place. Take the wire cutter and use it to remove any extra wiring.

To create the support frame
Get the other 2x4s and start cutting more wood. Make as many wood boards as needed to provide support for the container. Fasten the frame to the main structure using nails or screws.

To create the legs
Decide on the height of each one. Mark it on the wood boards and cut to the right length. It can be any height but most would suggest 3 ft. For beginners, it is best to stick to that height for now. Continue to build a rabbit hutch by nailing each leg in position.

To create a roof
You can just get a plywood board and put it on the top. If you want to attach it, here’s what you should do: measure the length and width of the cage. Cut that size from the remaining wood board. Drill openings in the board. Put the hinges in place and fasten in the screws. Drill holes in the frame and attach the roof to it.

Tips and tricks
You can put a pan in the container to store the waste and other debris. For additional protection when you build a rabbit hutch, add shingles to the roof. This doesn’t just make the structure look more attractive. It also acts as a shield against excessive heat and rain. The shingles can be put on the roof as you would any of the other parts: by nailing.

Warnings
Be careful when assembling the wires around the cage. Always wear gloves. Wear eye goggles when cutting wires to prevent any accidents. If you don’t know how to cut wires, have someone do it for you.
The steps needed to build a rabbit hutch aren’t difficult to follow. With just a little effort on your part, you can make a nice home for your little pets and make your kids very happy!
